We ordered a gallon of this product, and shortly after we arrived found that it irritated our hands. We checked the label and discovered that the ingredients were not as stated in the description. Instead of benzethonium chloride — which is active against viruses such as influenza as well as against bacteria — the product we received said that the active ingredient was triclosan. Triclosan does nothing to kill viruses and also is known to be an endocrine disruptor. We feel that we were subjected to a “bait and switch” and are not satisfied.
